The labels of our Ses Nines wines depict our mother as a child skipping rope on the main square of her hometown, Consell. A village with a winemaking tradition in the area of the Raiguer.
The little girl, our mother came from one of those country families. She inherited a small 35 year old vineyard in the village of Consell, planted exclusively with autochthonous Manto Negro grapes, grown in the traditional “politxo” style (on regularly spaced wooden poles). The family has memories of how she treasured this little plot and lovingly cared for these vines, and started to dream about building a winery to make their own wines. The idea was gaining strength and in 2014 the project to build Celler Tianna Negre began. With perseverance and enthusiasm, Celler Tianna Negre opened its doors to its first harvest in September 2007.
From then on the family has endeavored to expand from the initial plot inherited from their forefathers, gradually purchasing land in the region of Binissalem (2 Ha Finca Biniagual, 4 Ha Finca Es Pinaret, 5 Ha Finca Son Colom, 11 Ha Finca Can Parrona, 6 Ha Finca Sa Vinyota, 6 Ha Finca Es Velar and 21 Ha Finca Son Boi). This way the family carries on with the mother´s legacy, respecting the terroir, maintaining the wine making tradition and preserving local grape varieties.
Their main objective is to create special wines that would convey the essence of the island of Mallorca, and simultaneously show a renewed vision for the future, while combining architecture, nature, character and quality. Wines reflecting the characteristic strength of the local grapes with a modern approach.
