Historical origin: Greek - Hellenic modified by the Argons in Aglianico.

colour: bright ruby- garnet red colour, intense, with orange reflections;
aroma: intense, fine, characteristic, ethereal, persistent with hints of spices and vanilla;
flavour: characteristic, peculiar, soft, persistent with full and round aftertaste.
Chemical - physical analysis: alcohol 14.50% - ph 3.40% - acidity total 5.50% - net dry extract 35.00% - so2 total 90 mg/L.
Food pairings: roasted meet, game, cheeses.
Ageing resistance at least: 15 years.
Temperature of service: 18 - 20° c
